When is spring coming to Copenhagen?
April 2nd, 2010 | Tina Noga | Denmark, General | 2 Comments »

Like so many times before, since I returned to Denmark last July, I went for a walk today with my friend Peter. It is now April 2 and one would expect the trees and the grass to be light green. But it is not. The trees are still completely naked, the soil brown and until two weeks ago we had ice in the streets.
It is a beautiful April day, but it is very cold (as you can see from my clothes on the picture above which we took today). The night temperature in Copenhagen at the moment is almost zero and the day temperature today was about 8 degrees (at the most). Having endured my first winter in Denmark for a decade – one question becomes more and more inevitable: “When is spring coming to Copenhagen?
One thing for sure – once the summer gets here is will be absolutely mayhem because people will have longed for the sun and heat for so long that the feeling of it again will be euphoria.

Cherry blossoms begin to fall after having
been seen everywhere in and around Tokyo.
And, azaleas will soon come into flower.
But, it will take much longer time
for your gorgeous niece to blossom into
a beautiful woman.
You are also still in the making.
If you wish to become a cherry blossom,
there’s no place like Japan.
I’m wondering what a national flower is
in Denmark.

Thank you Hitomi
I wish to see the cherry blossom season in Japan one day. It should be so beautiful.
A girlfriend of mine just went there with her boyfriend and she said it was amazing.
